5 Things You Need To Know About Streamy Awards Host Grace Helbig

The Streamy Awards are hitting your screen(s) this Thursday and airing on Much and Much.com for the first time. In its fifth year, The Streamy’s celebrates the best, brightest, most viewed and most liked in digital media. And we like that!

The star-studded event will feature performances from A Great Big World featuring Futuristic, OMI, Future, Sir Mix-A-Lot and Hailee Steinfeld, as well as appearances by Pretty Little Liars star Shay Mitchell, Natasha Bedingfield, Ciara, Paula Abdul, Nene Leakes, Frankie Grande, Jenna Marbles, Miranda Sings, and Awkward.’s Jillian Rose Reed.

The night’s events will be hosted by YouTube celebrities Grace Helbig and Tyler Oakley, two people who are proof that spending too much time in front of your computer can work out really, really well.

Sure, all the cool kids are online and so is Grace, but that doesn’t mean books are dead! Helbig penned her first novel Grace’s Guide: The Art of Pretending to Be a Grown-up. The book debuted at number one on the New York Times Advice List and paved the way for Helbig’s second offering, Grace & Style: The Art of Pretending You Have It, scheduled to be released in February.

3. She’s the host with the most.

From her show on E!, to her podcast Not Too Deep With Grace Helbig, to Attack of the Show, to her YouTube channel and awards shows, there’s not much that Helbig can’t host the hell outta.

4. She’s hilarious.

You don’t have to dig very far into Helbig’s heavily followed social media pages (her Instagram page alone has 1.4 million followers) to see that she’s hilarious. She’s been named on comedy lists from Vulture to Vanity Fair. Grace also isn’t a stranger to being funny on Much, having appeared numerous times on @Midnight. Points!

5. She’s a Streamy Awards vet.

Not only does Grace have three Streamy Awards under her belt, including the award for Best Collaboration that she took home earlier this week, but Helbig also co-hosted the show last year.
