A History of Video of the Year Winners at the MMVAs

Starting out as Best Video back on June 17, 1990, the award for Video of the Year at the MMVAs has represented hardware going out to some of the greatest music videos ever created. From The Tragically Hip to Jann Arden, Moist to Kardinal Offishal, Billy Talent to Carly Rae Jepsen, the MMVA winners of Video of the Year act as a snapshot of what music looked like that year.

Today we’re going all the way back to where it began and looking at the incredible 25 year history of Video of the Year . This year, it’s three hip hop acts and two rock bands going head to head for the big prize. Will Hedley make history and become the only artists in MMVA history to win three times?
