We are loving the new series Younger on M3 and tuning in every Tuesday to see 40 year-old Sutton Foster play 40 year-old Liza pretending to be 26 year-old Liza.
Of course Foster isn’t the first actor to take on a younger role. Some thespians have made their careers out of defying age. How do they do it?
Check out some of our favourite actors who play ‘younger’ and don’t miss a brand new episode of Younger tonight at 8E/5P on M3. Catch up with episodes online anytime at M3TV.ca/Younger.
Minka Kelly
Actress Minka Kelly appears to be aging in reverse. Kelly played high school cheerleader Lyla on Friday Night Lights when she was 26 and later starred in The Roomate as a college freshman at the youthful age of 31.
Stacey Dash
Stacey Dash was 29 when she first took on the role of 16 year-old Dionne in Clueless and remained the same age on screen for the next three years while shooting the TV series Clueless. #MoisturizingGameOnPoint.
Rachel McAdams
Rachal McAdams was 26 when she played 16 year-old Regina George in Mean Girls, a fact even more crazy when you consider that Amy Poehler played her mother and was 33 at the time. In Perfect Pie, McAdams played a 15 year-old on the big screen while playing a 24 year-old in real life.
Bianca Lawson
Bianca Lawson has become synonymous with playing younger characters. The ageless actress has taken on teen roles well into adulthood, including the role of 17 year-old Maya on Pretty Little Liars when Lawson was 33 and 23 year-old Shawna on The Secret Life of the American Teenager when Lawson was 32.
John Cho
We’ve found the fountain of youth. It’s located in John Cho’s kitchen. The funnyman taught the world the term ‘Milf’ as a high school senior in 1999’s American Pie when Cho was actually 27 years old. Cho later took on the role of 21 year-old Zulu in the Star Trek remake when he was 41, a twenty-year difference. Seriously, Cho has the fountain and he’s not sharing.
