Hear Two Previously Unreleased Tracks From Carly Rae Jepsen

Every few years an artist comes around that gives the broken-hearted an album of substance that is chalk full of anthems to dance to, to cry to, and to sing at the top of their lungs to. In 2010, we had Robyn’s three-part Body Talk series that included the hits Dancing On My Own, Call Your Girlfriend, and Indestructible, cementing the former teen star as one of the most critically acclaimed voices in pop in decades.

In 2015, Carly Rae Jepsen did the same thing with her third studio album E•MO•TION, redefining the pop genre and proving that the Canadian singer was so much more than Call Me Maybe.

Jepsen is currently on tour promoting her 2015 record and thankfully we’re still getting new music from the BC native. The singer reissued E•MO•TION in Japan and included remixes as well as two new tracks, including First Time and Fever.

The two previously unreleased tracks have leaked online are everything we love about EMOTION; pure pop hits about love and cathartic heartbreak bangers.

Here’s hoping that E•MO•TION: Remixed will soon be released in North America. Now let’s go listen to Fever and First Time and try to understand how Jepsen isn’t the biggest pop star in the world when these two bops weren’t good enough to even make the cut for the album.
