Forget The Bachelor. We’re only one episode into the 18th season of Dancing With The Stars and it’s already filling our weekly quota for dramatic love stories on reality TV. From almost-dates to 20-year-old heartbreak, this season has it all and then some. Oh ya, and the dancing is really good.
Get ready for this season of Dancing With The Stars with our handy DWTS Dating Guide and watch new episodes every Monday at 8E/5P on M3.
Cody Simpson and Witney Carson
The Aussie teen singer got the third degree about his dating status from new partner Witney Carson during last week’s episode of DWTS. Simpson said that he is in a relationship and even received support from his girlfriend, who sat in the front row during Monday’s episode, but was again questioned by host Erin Andrews after his dance. This. Is. Gonna. Get Messy.
Candace Cameron-Bure Versus Danica McKellar
Full House’s Candace Cameron-Bure is not a woman who lets things go easily. The child star spent much of last Monday’s episode discussing either her faith, or her (one-sided) rivalry with The Wonder Years star Danica McKellar. Candace even went as far as to blindside Danica with a twenty-year old story, that included Jeremy Miller from Growing Pains breaking up with Cameron-Bure for McKellar, which was news to Winnie Cooper. Hell hath no fury like a (teenaged) woman scorned.
While McKellar has looked uncomfortable during all the rivalry talk, I think it’s only a matter of time before she begins to bite back. Also, please tell me these two fought over Josh Saviano at some point.
James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd
The most surprising bit of drama is coming from the guy most famous for starring in a Nickelodeon show! Big Time Rush’s James Maslow got quite a shock when he found out he was partnered with Peta Murgatroyd, who apparently Maslow briefly dated and never called. While neither parties disclosed exactly what happened on their dates, I have a feeling some hurt feelings on Murgatroyd’s side are going to make for a very, very, very interesting season.
Derek Hough and Amy Purdy
Okay, so there’s actually no real evidence these two dancing partners are linked. I just think they would be really cute together.
