All good things must come to an end and that’s even true for our beloved Pretty Little Liars. Though it’s still unclear whether the series will continue past Season 7, we do know that contrary to this season’s time hop returns, at some point everyone has to leave Rosewood. Le sigh.
Actress Lucy Hale has played Aria Montgomery, our favourite pattern-mixing writer on PLL for six seasons and appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden this week. The British talk show host totally went *there* and made us face the inevitable; someday PLL will end. But how does Hale see things coming to a close for Aria and the other Liars?
“I used to say I wanted the show to end walking away in the sunset, they’re all happy living an A-free life, no drama, right?” says Hale. “But I don’t. I want it to end really tragically.”
We have to agree. For a show that’s give us so many hoodie reveals, car chases, and terrifying notes in teeth, a shocking, tragic ending would truly be fitting.
Lucy also took a ‘Police Slang’ quiz with fellow guest Casey Affleck, who stars in the new film Triple 9. We like to think Hale picked up a few tips from being around Officer Toby…and playing a character who has been arrested more than once.
