Meghan Trainor Drops New Jam ‘Watch Me Do’

Meghan Trainor has been sent to give pop music a kick in the butt. The songwriter-turned-singer found huge success with her debut single All About That Bass in 2014 and hasn’t stopped since. She took home a Grammy for Best New Artist earlier this year and recently dropped the chart-topping No, the first single from her upcoming sophomore album Thank You.

Trainor released the Fatima Robinson-directed music video for No earlier this week and combined all our favourite things from the 90s and 2000s, including a silver trench coat, wind machines, and an all-female dance group to help enhance the girl power mantra of the track.

Now Trainor has dropped another new single from Thank You and shows no intention of granting listeners reprieve from the dance floor. Watch Me Do is another energetic pop track that brings early 2000 realness to 2016, combined with lyrics like “I’ve been on a no-hater diet” that we are totally eating up.

Showing off her impressive flow and penchant for the term ‘breasteses’, Trainor appears to be making Thank You an album full of self-esteem booster jams for her Megatronz. Yas kween.

Check out Watch Me Do below and get ready to dance like no one is watching. Meghan Trainor’s Thank You is set to be released on May 13.
